I actually like to watch anime more than reading Manga. True, anime tends to stray from the manga storyline (fillers) but I feel that the anime actually adds to, and in some cases, enhances the overall anime experience.

With Manga, the media is so in-flexible and hard to change once its been printed and shipped. Anime, however, comes out at a much later time and includes extra story elements to draw the viewer into the fictional world that the manga wouldn't have been able to incorporate with printed media publisher deadlines and such.

It's true that manga loses some of its story in when it makes an animated translation but I honestly don't mind. I don't read manga so I wouldn't know if I were missing something. It's no big loss to me either way. With the addition of music and visuals, I get a more dramatic experience with the animated story which helps me become more involved with the characters and the series in general.

I have mixed feelings about this one.

I enjoy reading manga because the story line is solid without fillers.

On the other hand...I really like to watch anima just to be able to "watch" it. Though I can't stand dubs. Always go for subs...
